CLEVELAND, Tenn. -- With the final seconds ticking down, the University of North Georgia women's soccer team found itself behind 1-0 to 19th-ranked Lee. With 1.4 seconds left on the clock,
Grace McGill drilled a shot left of the keeper and into the back of the net, keeping the Nighthawks' unbeaten streak alive.
A 60th-minute goal by Grace Berry (Lee) looked to be the difference for all but the final two seconds of the game before McGill played the hero with an assist by reigning PBC Defender of the Week
Bailey Vessell.
It was a defensive battle throughout, with both sides turning in a top-tier performance in the first half, with just six combined shots. In the second half, things began to heat up offensively, with North Georgia putting in six shots and the Flames adding nine.
