DAHLONEGA - Six University of North Georgia (UNG) women's soccer student-athletes were named to the Peach Belt Conference Women's Soccer All-Academic Team, the league announced, recognizing their excellence in the classroom.

The All-Academic Team, previously known as the Team of Academic Distinction, is part of the Peach Belt Conference's ongoing initiative to honor the academic achievements of its student-athletes.

To be eligible, student-athletes must compete in at least half of their team's contests as a starter or significant contributor, hold a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher on a 4.0 scale and be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. Transfer students become immediately eligible upon meeting those requirements.

North Georgia's honorees include seniors Alexa Aronoff, Isabelle Lee, Alex Clark and Adleigh Wheeler, along with juniors Grace McGill and Chloe Diaz.

Aronoff, Clark, Diaz, McGill and Wheeler each earned All-Academic honors for the second time in their careers, while Lee collected the recognition for the first time.

In addition to her conference honor, Aronoff has also previously earned the Division II Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award. Clark, Diaz and Wheeler are also past Peach Belt Conference Presidential Honor Roll Silver Scholars, while Wheeler has additionally been recognized as a D2ADA Academic Achievement Award recipient.

With this year's selections, the Nighthawks have now placed multiple student-athletes on the PBC Women's Soccer All-Academic Team in 14 consecutive seasons.
