DAHLONEGA – The University of North Georgia men's soccer team was defeated in their Peach Belt Conference matchup against Flagler College 3-1 after giving up two second-half goals.
The Nighthawks struck first with a
Haris Osmanbasic goal in the 21st minute. Flagler answered five minutes later with the equalizer. The scoring would quiet down for the rest of the half despite Flagler going a man down in the 33rd minute after a red card by Camilo Vera.
The Flagler back line continued to survive multiple opportunities created by an aggressive North Georgia attack throughout the game. In the 76th minute, Flagler took the lead. One minute later, a second yellow for
Santiago Gimenez put North Georgia down to just ten men.
A third and final goal by Flagler put the game away and moved UNG to 3-5-1 on the season.
