DAHLONEGA – With the 2026 season 63 days away, the University of North Georgia (UNG) men's soccer team has announced its upcoming schedule for the fall.
The Nighthawks are coming off one of the best seasons in program history in 2025, posting a 10-5-5 record while securing the program's first Peach Belt Conference (PBC) regular season championship. North Georgia also made an appearance in the PBC Tournament Championship for the first time since 2017.
North Georgia opens the 2026 campaign with a strong home-field advantage, as six of the Nighthawks first seven games will take place at the UNG Soccer Field at Lynn Cottrell Park. The season kicks off at home against Barry on Thursday, Aug. 27 at 7 p.m.
The Nighthawks will be back in action in Dahlonega just two days later to take on Christian Brothers on Saturday, Aug. 29. This will be the first time in program history the Nighthawks will face off against the Buccaneers.
A matchup with Florida Tech awaits the Nighthawks back at home on Tuesday, Sept. 1. For the second-consecutive season, the Nighthawks will travel to Gainesville, Ga. and the Allen Creek Soccer Complex, this time facing off against Palm Beach Atlantic on Friday, Sept. 4 at 2 p.m.
Back in the Gold City, North Georgia will close out the nonconference slate against Auburn-Montgomery on Sunday, Sept. 6.
PBC play for the Nighthawks starts on Wednesday, Sept. 9 at 6:30 p.m. against Lander before North Georgia rounds out its early home slate against USC Aiken on Saturday, Sept. 12.
The Nighthawks will then hit the road for a pair of rematches from last year's PBC Tournament. North Georgia will first head to Morrow, Ga. to face off against Clayton State on Wednesday, Sept. 16. The Nighthawks took down the Lakers 1-0 in the tournament semifinals last season.
On Saturday, Sept. 19 at 1 p.m., North Georgia will travel to St. Augustine, Fl. to take on the defending PBC tournament champion Flagler. Last year, the Nighthawks fell to the Saints 2-1 in the tournament championship.
North Georgia will return to Dahlonega for a pair of home matches with Georgia Southwestern on Wednesday, Sept. 23 and Middle Georgia on Saturday, Sept. 26.
The Nighthawks will have a week off before returning to action on Saturday, Oct. 3 with a road game against USC Aiken. North Georgia will again be on the road to face off against Lander on Wednesday, Oct. 7.
A pair of home games await the Nighthawks on Saturday, Oct. 10 against Flagler and Wednesday, Oct. 14 against Clayton State.
North Georgia will hit the road for the final time during the regular season to take on Georgia Southwestern on Saturday, Oct. 17 and Middle Georgia on Wednesday, Oct. 21.
The regular season will conclude back at the UNG Soccer Field, as the Nighthawks will face off with Rollins for the first time in program history on Saturday, Oct. 24 at 1 p.m. The Tars finished as the runner up in the 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Soccer National Championship last season.
The PBC Tournament will kick off one week later on Saturday, Oct. 31 and is scheduled to conclude on Saturday, Nov. 7.
Of the Nighthawks 12 different opponents during the regular season, four of them concluded the 2025 season nationally ranked in the United Soccer Coaches poll.
