AUGUSTA, Ga. – The No. 17 University of North Georgia (UNG) men's tennis team came away victorious in its first Peach Belt Conference match of the season with a 5-2 defeat on the road at Augusta on Tuesday. 
The Nighthawk (5-1, 1-0 Peach Belt) victory over the Jaguars (8-3, 0-1 Peach Belt)on Tuesday  marked the fifth straight win for UNG. 
It all started with a win in doubles as sophomore 
Marcos Castellanos and freshman 
Franco Rebora combined for a 6-3 victory in the #3 doubles match. 
Junior 
Pedro Liborio and freshman 
Janos Varga then paired up for a 6-4 win in the #2 contest to clinch the point and put the Nighthawks ahead 1-0 overall. 
Then, in the #2 singles match senior 
Robin Eldin rolled to a 6-3, 6-0 win against Alexis Bailhache. Eldin has now won four straight singles matches after starting the year 0-2.
ITA men's singles No. 14 Liborio then collected his team-leading fifth singles victory of the year with a 7-5, 6-2 win against Enzo Garutti in the #1 match. 
Freshman 
Juan Cruz Blanco then grabbed a win in the #5 singles competition by taking down Augusta's Enzo Sakiyama 6-3, 6-4 for the victory.
UNG clinched the victory as Castellanos continued off his doubles win to a comeback victory in #4 singles. After dropping the first set 4-6, the Guatemala City native took the final two sets 6-0, 6-3 to come away with the win. 
Now the Nighthawks will prepare to host the 2nd Annual Scenic City College Tennis Spring Break Showcase in Chattanooga, Tenn. The nine-team premier event takes place over three days from March 8-11. UNG's first match is set for Saturday, Mar. 8 at 10 a.m. against Lee
