How Blanco got to UNG
Juan Cruz Blanco has made the long trip to Dahlonega from his hometown of Montevideo, Uruguay to join the Nighthawks as a freshman this season. Blanco has traveled a whopping 5,119 miles from South America to participate with the UNG men's tennis program. Blanco comes from Lycée Français Jules Supervielle, a French private school in his hometown of Montevideo. Blanco started playing tennis at the age of 4 at the Club Naval. He was ranked number 1 in the U16 and U18 rankings in Uruguay and competed for his country in the U14 and U16 categories. Blanco also competed in the Junior Pan American Games.
