DAHLONEGA – Five University of North Georgia (UNG) men's and women's tennis student-athletes have been named to the 2026 Peach Belt Conference All-Academic Team, the league announced Tuesday.
The PBC All-Academic Team, formerly known as the Team of Academic Distinction, recognizes student-athletes who excel both in competition and in the classroom. To earn recognition, student-athletes must participate in at least half of their team's events as a starter or significant contributor, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher and be at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
Three members of the North Georgia men's tennis program earned the honor.
Eliseo Alcalde, a finance major from Paraná, Entre Ríos, Argentina, posted a 3.50 GPA.
Lleyton Beasley of Athens, Georgia, earned recognition with a 3.67 GPA while majoring in finance. Fellow finance major
Franco Rebora, from Buenos Aires, Argentina, recorded a 3.66 GPA to secure a spot on the team.
On the women's side,
Victoria Niox-Chateau and
Anastasiia Opolska represented the Nighthawks on the All-Academic Team. Niox-Chateau, a management major from Boulogne-Billancourt, France, carried a 3.88 GPA, while Opolska, a marketing major from Stebnyk, Ukraine, earned the honor with a 3.73 GPA.
