DAHLONEGA - Behind a brace from
Kyleigh Drew, the No. 4 University of North Georgia (UNG) women's soccer team rolled to a 5-0 win over Middle Georgia State on Saturday afternoon in Peach Belt Conference action at the UNG Soccer Complex.

Drew opened the scoring in the fifth minute, converting a feed from
Chloe Diaz, before
Grace McGill doubled the lead in the 35th minute off an assist from
Nina Lopez to give North Georgia a 2-0 edge at halftime.

The Nighthawks continued to press after the break, as Drew netted her second goal of the match in the 62nd minute, her team-leading sixth of the season, off assists from
Bailey Oetinger and
Alex Clark. Clark added a goal of her own in the 78th minute, with
Zoie St. John providing the setup, and
Blanca Cruz capped the scoring two minutes later on an assist from
Lilyana Hernandez.

North Georgia (12-1-1, 8-0-0 PBC) dominated statistically, outshooting the Knights 28-2 and holding a 15-0 advantage in shots on goal. Goalkeepers
Faith Bullied and
Isabelle Lee combined for the Nighthawks' sixth shutout of the year without facing a shot on target.

Middle Georgia State (2-7-5, 0-6-2) was anchored by keeper Hollie Keefe, who recorded nine saves in the loss.
