CHATTANOOGA — The No. 13 University of North Georgia men's tennis lost 6-1 to NAIA No. 2 Tennessee Wesleyan in its first match in the Scenic City College Tennis Spring Break Showcase.
The Bulldogs swept in the doubles portion of the match with 7-6 (7-2 tiebreaker), 6-4 and 6-4 wins.
In the singles, only one Nighthawk was able to pull away with a win as junior Robin Eldin defeated Bulldog senior Patricio Gallegos 6-2, 7-6 (7-0 tiebreaker). Eldin is now undefeated in all eight singles matches he's competed in this season. He's only lost one individual set within those eight matches.
The road does not get any easier for UNG as the Nighthawks now will face ITA No. 17 Drury on Monday, Mar. 11 at 11 a.m.
