Brady Skipper led off the top of the ninth inning with a solo shot over the left centerfield wall to give the University of North Georgia baseball team a 2-1 walk off win over No. 13 Quincy on Friday evening at Bob Stein Stadium at Lynn Cottrell Park.

Jacob Lassiat (2-0) picked up the victory out of the bullpen for North Georgia as the right-hander went the final third of the eighth inning to become the pitcher of record. Junior
Dylan Noce also made an impact on the mound for the Nighthawks, starting the ballgame and throwing 6.2 innings, giving up one run on two hits, with three walks and seven strikeouts.
Zach Green tossed one and two thirds of relief work pitching out of a critical bases loaded jam in the eighth.
Skipper led the way offensively for the Nighthawks, going 2-for-4 in the ballgame with a home run and an RBI. Sophomore Edwin Bowman put together a noteworthy performance at the dish as well, going 2-for-2 with a walk and an RBI. Sophomore
Phillip Ard also chipped in, going 2-for-3 for North Georgia with a double.
The Nighthawks put runs on the scoreboard first, starting the scoring in the second inning. North Georgia got an RBI single from Bowman, scoring Ard from second base.
Quincy then rallied to tie the ballgame at in the third and the game would remain tied until the ninth inning heroics.
The win improves North Georgia to 6-1 on the season.
The second game of the non-conference series is set for tomorrow at 1:00 p.m.
