LIVINGSTON, Ala. -- The University of North Georgia men's soccer team fell 6-1 to West Alabama (1-1) on the road at Tiger Stadium. It was a tough night for the Nighthawks, with the Tigers taking a 3-0 lead early in the game.
UWA scored once at the 2:52 mark of the game before surrendering goals in the 13th and 29th minute. Finishing the rest of the first half without a goal, UWA scored another three in the second half, with a goal in the 54th minute and 61st minute before the Nighthawks found the back of the net for the first time in the game.
Daniel Romero was the Nighthawk who scored, earning a late goal in the 87th minute, marking his first goal in the North Georgia uniform. UWA added a goal one minute later to take a 6-1 lead, with the final whistle following shortly after.
