DAHLONEGA – A second straight shutout for the University of North Georgia baseball team earned the Nighthawks the Peach Belt Conference series win after defeating Young Harris 11-0 in the third and final game of the series at Bob Stein Stadium at Lynn Cottrell Park. The Nighthawks scored 10 of their 11 runs in the fourth inning, and
Wes Lott (2-1) threw all seven innings of the game, allowing no runs on four hits.
After opening the door in the third inning to take a 1-0 lead, the Nighthawks' offense found fire, scoring ten runs in the fourth inning. Taking advantage of two errors in the inning, UNG collected nine hits to help take the 11-0 lead.
Edwin Bowman IV and
Andrews Opata had two hits in the inning as North Georgia had 15 at-bats.

Mason Steel all had two hit efforts in the game, with Steel leading the team in RBIs with two. The Nighthawks take their first Peach Belt Conference series of the season, moving to 6-6 overall and 2-4 in league play.
