ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Caroline Martin scored her 1,000th career point to lead the No. 15 University of North Georgia women's basketball to a 70-66 win at Flagler in its midweek Peach Belt Conference matchup.
Martin led the team in scoring, finishing with 18 points on 6-of-11 shooting while coming up with four steals on the defensive end, playing all 40 minutes in the game.
Kaylee Sticker tied Martin for the team-high in steals with four while finishing second in scoring with 17 points.
Josie Earnhardt finished third in scoring with 15 doing most of her damage from beyond the arc. The Nighthawks' top three-point shooter made four three-point shots on 11 attempts.
Kayla Massop finished with a team-high ten rebounds, three on the offensive end, adding five points.

- Flagler (4-13, 1-6 PBC) scored eight straight with 1:10 remaining in the opening quarter to take a 21-12 lead. The nine-point lead would be the Saints' largest of the game.
- Martin scored her 1,000th point with 7:52 left in the second quarter.
- UNG (14-2, 6-1 PBC) outscored Flagler 15-4 from the 6:05 mark till the 3:26 mark to erase the nine-point deficit. The two sides finished tied at 35 at the halftime break.
- Flagler's Taylor Gardner would knock down a three with 5:35 left in the third to take a 44-43 lead. A Martin three would take the lead the following possession, with UNG never trailing for the remainder of the game.
- The Nighthawks could never pull away, taking their largest lead of the game (7) with 4:56 left in the fourth quarter. Earnhardt would make it a two-possession game with 13 seconds left in the game to finish off the 70-66 victory.
