Crane's Two Goals Lead UNG to Win at Emmanuel

Box Score FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. – The University of North Georgia women's soccer team defeated Emmanuel, 3-0, in its midweek non-conference matchup. 

Abbie Crane netted two goals in the match, giving her five on the season. The first goal came in the 28th minute and gave the Nighthawks a 1-0 lead, and the lead would hold for the rest of the half with neither side finding a goal-scoring opportunity. 

Crane's second goal found the back of the net early in the 50th minute, with Megan Dumond tacking on the final mark one minute later to give UNG a 3-0 lead.

Sierra Fowler and the defense kept Emmanuel quiet. Fowler had two saves in the match and got her fourth clean sheet of the season. The Nighthawks move to 5-2-1 after the win.

The Nighthawks return to Peach Belt Conference play, hosting Clayton State on Saturday, Sept. 24 at the UNG Soccer Field at Lynn Cottrell Park. The Lakers are coming off a tie versus USC Aiken.
