DAHLONEGA - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has announced the recipients of the 2022 Division II Regional Awards with the University of North Georgia programs collecting five major honors.

Head coach
Kent Norsworthy was named the Wilson ITA Women's Coach of the Year for the Southeast Region after leading the Nighthawks to a 15-win season and a fifth consecutive NCAA appearance.
Additionally, on the women's side Rafaella Jean Villanueva was selected as the Arthur Ashe Leadership & Sportsmanship recipient while teammate
Vaishali Jorge was named the ITA Southeast Region Senior Player of the Year.
On the men's side, seniors
Zach Waldow and
Ryan Gaskin were honored with regional awards. Waldow was selected as the ITA Most Improved Senior while Gaskin earned the region's Senior Player of the Year distinction.

 Every year the ITA recognizes coaches and players for their excellence on the court and in their communities throughout the season.

The Division II Playing Awards include: Wilson ITA Coach of the Year, ITA Assistant Coach of the Year, Arthur Ashe Leadership & Sportsmanship, ITA Rookie of the Year, ITA Most Improved Senior, ITA Senior Player of the Year, and ITA Community Service Award.

The national award winners will be announced next Tuesday, June 14th.
