CARROLLTON, Ga. - Tim Conway hit a pair of homers to lead the University of North Georgia baseball team to a 9-4 win over West Georgia Wednesday evening.
After the Wolves scored in the bottom of the first, North Georgia answered in the third with a run off a wild pitch followed by a
Jake Arnold two run homer to take a 3-1 lead. The Nighthawks added to their lead with back-to-back solo homers from
Crews Taylor and Conway to stretch the lead out to 5-1.
West Georgia cut into the lead with a solo homer in the fifth before UNG added to the lead again in the eighth, scoring on another wild pitch and a two run blast from Conway to take an 8-2 lead. The Wolves plated a run in the bottom of the eighth for North Georgia to take it back in the ninth off a
Riley Frost homer. UWG added one more run in the bottom of the ninth to get to the final score.
NOTES
- This was Conway's second multi-homer game, joining a February 21, 2021 matchup with Francis Marion where he also hit a pair of blasts. He finished 3-for-4 at the plate in the game, stretching his hitting streak to five games.

Jacob Lassiat (2-1) was credited with the win, throwing three innings of relief and scattering just two hits and a run.
