DAHLONEGA - The University of North Georgia baseball team finished off a season-opening series win over No. 16 Lee Sunday with a 10-4 win at Bob Stein Stadium at Lynn Cottrell Park.
The Nighthawks made it three straight days of scoring first, saving the biggest output for last with seven runs coming across in a 13-batter first inning, using two RBI doubles and three RBI singles to get the runs across. After the Flames plated two unearned runs in the second,
Connor Frost got one of the runs back on a RBI single to make the score 8-1.
North Georgia scored again in the third on a RBI groundout from
Jorge Arispuro to extend the lead even further before the Flames got two back, one each in the fifth and the sixth. UNG scored the final run of the contest on a
Jack Davis RBI double.

Eddie Galatas (1-0) got the win out of the bullpen as the Nighthawk pitching staff combined to give up just four hits.
- The Nighthawks had five doubles in the contest.
- North Georgia has now not lost a season-opening series since 2014.
