DAHLONEGA – The No. 14 University of North Georgia women's basketball team had complete control throughout their 72-46 Peach Belt Conference win over Flagler on Saturday in Lynn Cottrell Arena in the UNG Convocation Center. The Nighthawks put on a defensive showcase in the second quarter to secure their conference-opening win.
Caroline Martin led the way in scoring for North Georgia with 17 points, adding six rebounds in the process.
Kayla Massop followed Martin with 11 points and nine rebounds. She helped lead the defensive effort for UNG with three steals.
Livi Blackstock led the team in steals with four, scoring seven points in the game.

Josie Earnhardt (8) finished third and fourth in scoring for UNG. In total, 11 different Nighthawks scored in the game, the most in a game this season. The North Georgia bench scored 38 points in the game, led by Massop's 11 points and Blackstock's 7 points.
