Nighthawks Defend Home Court in Victory Over Bobcats

DAHLONEGA – The University of North Georgia women's basketball team remained unbeaten in Lynn Cottrell Arena at the UNG Convocation Center with their 56-54 Peach Belt Conference victory over Georgia College & State University. A defensive struggle throughout, North Georgia had critical late-game defensive stops to move to 2-0 in Peach Belt Conference play and 8-1 overall.

Three Nighthawks finished in double-digits as Caroline Martin (14) and Kaylee Sticker (13) finished first and second in scoring and Dasha Cannon finished with a career-high 10 points off the bench, logging 23 minutes of action. Sticker recorded her second double-double of the season, leading the Nighthawks in rebounds with 10.

North Georgia struggled shooting, with both sides playing stout defense. Martin and Cannon were the two bright spots for UNG shooting, Cannon finished 4-for-6 in the game, and Martin shot 5-of-10 in the contest despite battling through first half foul trouble.  Key Moments
