Game Preview: After back-to-back wins to kick off 2018, the No. 18 University of North Georgia women's soccer team is set to host Lee in a non-conference match in Dahlonega Thursday night.

Nighthawks on the Web: Fans can follow UNG live on the Internet via live stats (UNGAthletics.com) and via web stream on YouTube or Facebook Live through the Nighthawk Sports Network. Fans can also follow the action through Twitter by following the women's soccer team (@UNGWSOC).

Quoting Head Coach Chris Adams"Last season, Lee was a senior-laden team and with our team being less experienced, I feel like that was a big difference in the 4-3 win for them. This year, they are, again, a very good opponent. I hope that with us having more experience and our home crowd behind us Thursday night, it will be the big difference to push us over the top."

Last Week: North Georgia put up eight total goals to best both opponents. UNG conceded first against Converse before rattling off six unanswered goals to win, 6-1. Two days later, the Nighthawks earned a clean sheet as they defeated Anderson, 2-0.

Scouting Lee: Lee is 1-0-1 after the opening weekend of action. The Flames drew with Rollins, 2-2, in the opener before defeating Trevecca Nazarene, 3-1, behind Mia Hollingsworth's hat trick. Lee was picked third in the Gulf South preseason poll, garnering three first-place votes along the way.

Series Versus Lee: Thursday will mark the fourth meeting all-time between the Flames and the Nighthawks, but UNG has not been able to earn a win against the opposing side. Lee is 3-0 all-time, including the 4-3 win in the season opener a year ago.

VanHorn on Fire: Senior Renee VanHorn was named the Peach Belt Conference's Player of the Week after a three-goal performance in the opening weekend of play. Against Converse, she scored the game-winner late in the first half before adding a second goal after the halftime break. She also scored off a penalty kick against Anderson for the game-winner as well. The PK made pushed VanHorn into the all-time lead for penalties made in a career as she is a perfect 4-4 in her Nighthawk career.
