Loughrey Named Marketing Coordinator for Nighthawk Athletics

DAHLONEGA – University of North Georgia athletic director Lindsay Reeves has announced the hiring of Morgan Loughrey as the department's new full-time Marketing Coordinator.  Loughrey just completed a two-year term as a graduate assistant earning her Master's in Business Administration from UNG.
 
One of her new primary responsibilities will be managing the department's corporate sponsor offerings.  She will also provide oversight to special events on and off campus.
 
In her two years in Dahlonega, Loughrey helped implement the school's first-ever fan loyalty rewards program - LOYAL BLUE - which propelled 67% of the school's ticketed sports finish in the top-10 in the country in overall attendance.
 
In her position, Loughrey develops and executes the marketing and promotions strategy and efforts for the department's 13 programs. She is charged with implementing initiatives to improve awareness of UNG athletics events on campus and in the community and enhancing the game day experience for fans and student-athletes.
 
Loughrey serves as a member of the department's external relations team, assisting with community engagement and outreach, and social media.
 
Loughrey graduated from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta in 2012 with a degree in Communications & Sociology and served as the captain of the women's basketball program. She began her collegiate basketball career at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida.
 
Prior to UNG, she served as a Senior Account Support Specialist at Kudzu. Loughrey has also served as an assistant varsity girls' basketball coach at Forsyth Central High School.
 
Loughrey carries an active membership in the College Sports Information Directors' Association (CoSIDA) and the National Associate of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA).
