Game Preview: The No. 13 University of North Georgia women's soccer team is preparing for a week that sees the Nighthawks battle twice in Peach Belt Conference play. UNG will take on Clayton State on Wednesday before a Saturday matchup against Flagler.

Schedule Update: Wednesday's match with Clayton State has been moved to Dahlonega due to forecasted weather associated with Hurricane Michael. The game time has also been moved up two hours to help avoid as much inclement weather as possible.

Last Week: North Georgia continued its winning ways, defeating West Georgia, 2-0, before a 4-1 win over Lander Saturday on Senior Day. The Nighthawks have now won seven straight matches spanning nearly an entire month.
 
Scouting Clayton State: The Lakers are off to a 4-4-2 start with a 1-4-0 record in Peach Belt play. Clayton State has only won twice since September 19, beating Georgia Southwestern and Albany State in that time.
 
Series Versus Clayton State: North Georgia holds a slight edge in the all-time series with Clayton State with a record of 9-8-2 against the Lakers. North Georgia has won five of the last seven overall and has not lost in Dahlonega since 2006.

Scouting Flagler: The Saints are 6-2-1 on the season and are 4-1-1 in league play with the only loss in PBC action coming to Columbus State. The Cougars came back from 3-1 down to defeat the Saints, 4-3, in that match.
 
Series Versus Flagler: The Nighthawks dropped their first-ever game to Flagler last season, a 3-2 decision on September 30, 2017. UNG still holds a commanding lead in the series, 9-1-1, including 3-0-1 in St. Augustine.

PBC Statistical Leaders: The Nighthawks continue to lead the Peach Belt Conference in goals scored, points, shots per game and corner kicks. UNG is second in the league in assists. Renee VanHorn is currently the front runner for the Golden Ball award with 10 goals on the year.

NCAA Statistical Rankings: North Georgia sports the third best scoring offense in the nation at 3.9 goals per match. The Nighthawks also have the fifth most points per game, the seventh most goals scored and the ninth most points tallied.

United Soccer Coaches Rankings: The Nighthawks jumped eight spots to No. 13 in the United Soccer Coaches National Poll.North Georgia also jumped up one spot to No. 2 in the Southeast Region poll.

PBC Standings: North Georgia is in second place in the Peach Belt Conference behind Columbus State, but UNG has a match in hand over the Cougars. UNG currently sits at 15 points, while CSU has 18. Clayton State is in a tie for seventh at three points, while Flagler is in third at 13 points.
