One of the first men's tennis players at North Georgia, Robertson helped the then-Saints to a conference championship in 1978. On that team, he was an individual conference champion in singles after going undefeated on the top line. He also captured the conference crown in doubles play. After winning the conference championship, he made a deep run in the division tournament, falling in the semifinals. A three-year North Georgia student-athlete, Robertson was also named to the Dean's List and played tennis post-graduation as a part of the Atlanta Lawn Tennis Association.
