AIKEN, S.C. – The No. 13 University of North Georgia (UNG) baseball team rallied late and rode a clutch extra-inning swing from JD Coleman to defeat USC Aiken 6-4 on Friday in its final Peach Belt Conference series of the regular season.
Trailing 4-0 entering the ninth inning, the Nighthawks mounted a dramatic comeback. Jake Streeter sparked the rally with a two-run single to right, cutting the deficit in half. Caleb Farr followed with an RBI groundout to bring the Nighthawks within one before Coleman delivered a game-tying single up the middle to even the score at 4-4.

USC Aiken built its lead with a run in the third inning before capitalizing on a North Georgia error and a two-run single in the seventh to extend the advantage to four.
