Eight Nighthawks Named PBC All-Conference; Ralton Voted Coach of the Year & Clark Selected Defensive Player of the Year

11/7/2025 12:24:00 PM

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference has announced its annual year-end awards with eight University of North Georgia (UNG) women's soccer players garnering All-Conference distinction highlighted by Kayley Ralton being voted the Coach of the Year and Alex Clark being named Defensive Player of the Year.

Grace McGill, Blanca Cruz, Nina Lopez and Chloe Diaz joined Clark as first team All-Conference selections while Bailey Oetinger, Alexa Aronoff and Alizee Buresi collected second team All-Conference honors.

Clark led a UNG defense that held opponents to just 13 goals this season, averaging .765 goals against average which is good for second in the PBC. North Georgia tied for the lead in the PBC in shutouts with nine and shutouts per game with .529. Clark added two goals and six assists this season for 10 total points.

In her sixth year at the helm, Ralton earned her second PBC Coach of the Year honor in the past three seasons after collecting the distinction in 2023. She led the No. 8 Nighthawks to a 15-1-1 overall record, and a perfect 10-0 record in the PBC. This is the first time in program history that the Nighthawks have finished with a perfect record in PBC play, and just the 11th team in PBC history to do so. North Georgia was ranked in all 10 national polls and have been a mainstay in the top ten consistently since the middle of September.

The top-seeded Nighthawks host the quarterfinal of the PBC Tournament Saturday, Nov. 8 against eighth-seeded Clayton State. Kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m. at the UNG Soccer Field at Lynn Cottrell Park and will be streamed by the PBC Sports Network.
