YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – A late-inning rally finished with the University of North Georgia baseball team falling 5-4 against Young Harris in the opening game of the Peach Belt Conference Tournament on Friday at YHC's Zell Miller Field.
The seventh-seeded Nighthawks grabbed a 4-1 lead in the sixth, aided by a three-run top of the sixth highlighted by singles by
Nik Levensteins and
Justin Bailey. Second-seeded Young Harris (35-14) battled back, plating one run in the seventh and two in the ninth to walk it off.
Zach Green and
Jaret Bales highlighted the day on the mound for North Georgia. Green threw three and one-third scoreless innings in relief, allowing just three hits, followed by another scoreless inning by Bales.
The Nighthawks finished with six hits, led by two from Levensteins, as he added a walk and one RBI in the game.
Edwin Bowman IV and
Justin Bailey added RBIs for the Nighthawks, all coming in the sixth inning.

North Georgia (28-23) will look to keep its PBC Tournament hopes alive on Saturday (May 6) in an elimination game at 3:00 p.m. against the loser of third-seeded USC Aiken and sixth-seeded Lander.
