YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. - The University of North Georgia baseball team won in a second straight game with extra innings, besting Young Harris in 10 innings, 10-7, Saturday.
The Mountain Lions struck first, scoring on a wild pitch in the second and an infield single in the third to take an early 2-0 lead. North Georgia tied it up in the fourth, scoring on a bases loaded walk and a groundout to push the score to 2-2. Young Harris quickly retook the lead in the bottom of the fourth, scoring on back-to-back RBI singles to take a 4-2 lead.
The Nighthawks got the bats rolling, starting in the fifth with a
Crews Taylor solo homer to cut into the lead. UNG tied it up in the sixth on a
Will Hardigree RBI single and then took the lead on a sacrifice bunt. North Georgia extended their lead to 7-4 in the seventh off a sacrifice fly and a
Riley Frost RBI single, but YHC would find a way to tie it up in the ninth and force extra innings. UNG found three runs in the 10th, scoring on a Taylor RBI single, a YHC error and a fielder's choice to claim the win.
NOTES
- UNG had five players finish with multiple hits, led by
Jorge Arispuro's 3-for-4 day.

Caleb Mitchell (2-0) was credited with the win, retiring the only batter he faced by strikeout.
Jacob Lassiat got his first save, throwing the 10th inning and allowing just one hit.
