DAHLONEGA - Shooting over 58 percent from the floor, the No. 11 University of North Georgia women's basketball team stormed past Young Harris Wednesday night, 89-70.
The Nighthawks shot out of the gates, getting three pointer after three pointer from
Josie Earnhardt in the first period. She scored 14 of UNG's first 20 points on the night as the lead swelled to as many as 10 by the end of the period, 24-14. North Georgia then put up 27 more points in the second quarter to lead 51-27 at the half.
North Georgia would lead by as many as 32 in the contest before Young Harris clawed back to the final score.

Caroline Martin led all scorers with 23 points, while Earnhardt ended up with 20 on the night, including six three pointers.
Jamari McDavid had 11 in just 15 minutes of action.
- With her first rebound of the night,
Julianne Sutton became the first member in the NCAA era to join the 1,000 rebound club. She finished with 10 points and six rebounds.
- Despite getting 15 offensive rebounds, Young Harris had just seven second chance points.
