DAHLONEGA - Using a 30 point first quarter, the No. 8 University of North Georgia women's basketball team earned their seventh straight win in a 76-55 victory over Flagler Monday night in the Convocation Center.
The offense exploded out of the gates for UNG as the Nighthawks stormed out to a 19 point lead after one quarter of play where Flagler didn't break into double digits until a three pointer with 46 seconds remaining in the period. The Saints clawed back to trim the lead to 13, but North Georgia responded with an 8-0 run to extend it back out to 21.
The Nighthawks led by as many as 27 on two occasions in the second half on the way to the season sweep of Flagler.
