DAHLONEGA - After lightning moved into the Dahlonega area and stuck around for nearly two hours, the University of North Georgia women's soccer team's match against West Georgia was ruled a no contest after the teams could not retake the field prior to the NCAA mandated restart time. No stats will be carried over.
North Georgia led 2-0 on the day at the break after
Taylor Malasek scored both goals.
The two teams will look to reschedule at a later date. If the teams are able to get back on the schedule, the game will restart from the beginning.
The Nighthawks will next take the pitch Sunday afternoon at Valdosta State. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
