Game Preview: The University of North Georgia women's soccer team jumps back into competition as they travel to Lenoir-Rhyne Wednesday before taking on Francis Marion in Peach Belt Conference action at home Saturday afternoon.

Rankings: North Georgia jumps five spots in the United Soccer Coaches poll to No. 20. Also in the poll from the Peach Belt is Flagler at No. 8.
Last Week: The Nighthawks improved to 4-0 on the year and 1-0 in league play with a 1-0 win over then-No. 13 Columbus State. UNG's Taylor Malasek scored in the 54th minute, notching her fourth goal of the year and her second game-winner
Lenoir-Rhyne: No. 16 Lenoir-Rhyne is 6-0 on the year, conceding just twice on the year. The Bears shut out USC Aiken, 8-0, and defeated UNC Pembroke, 2-1, so far this season. Aqsa Mushtaq, Hannah Van Eerden and Abigael McGarel each have five goals so far this season. North Georgia is 1-2-2 against L-R and have not lost to the Bears in three tries, going 1-0-2 over the last three meetings. The Nighthawks have never won in Hickory, however, going 0-1-2 in North Carolina.
Francis Marion: Francis Marion is 3-1 headed into a Wednesday night matchup at Queens. The Saturday afternoon matchup against the Nighthawks will be the league opener for the Patriots. Dayle McEwen leads FMU in goals scored with four through four matches. The Nighthawks are 3-0 against FMU all-time, conceding a single goal in the series while scoring 13 of their own.
Statistics: North Georgia ranks first in the league in goals-against average, save percentage and shutout percentage. Morgan Ramby leads the Peach Belt in goals-against average and save percentage. Taylor Malasek is second in the conference in game-winners, goals per game and total goals.
Weekly Honors: Morgan Ramby and Olivia Dumphy each earned Peach Belt weekly honors this week. Ramby, the goalkeeper of the week, turned in her third straight shutout against CSU.The redshirt sophomore made six saves in the effort to extend her scoreless streak to 356:20. Dumphy, the defender of the week, led a defense to holding CSU to just 13 shots, six of which were on goal. Ramby was also named the Chick-Fil-A Nighthawk of the Week.
PBC Home Openers: The Nighthawks are unbeaten in their last five PBC home openers, going 4-0-1 over that span. The last time UNG lost a league home opener was October 5, 2013, against Armstrong State, a 3-2 loss to the Pirates for UNG.
