Rankings: North Georgia debuts in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 poll at No. 25. Columbus State and Flagler are also represented in the poll.

Last Week: The Nighthawks improved to 3-0 on the year with a 2-0 win over Valdosta State. UNG's Taylor Malasek and Rosie Embley were the goal scorers, scoring in the 12th and 82nd minutes, respectively.

Columbus State: Columbus State is 3-1 on the year and currently ranked No. 13 in the nation by United Soccer Coaches. The Cougars were ranked No. 2 in the nation last week, but a 2-0 loss to West Alabama Sunday afternoon dropped CSU 11 spots in the poll. The zero-goal performance was the first time September 24, 2016 since the Cougars were shutout in the regular season. Three Cougars have scored three goals on the year to lead CSU: Riley Clark, Maddy Peterson and Kimmy May. Four other Cougars have goals and they have forced an own goal as well this season. Columbus State is 18-3-1 against North Georgia all-time, but UNG won the last meeting at the Walden Soccer Complex, 3-2, in 2017. All three of UNG's wins against the Cougars have come in Columbus.

Statistics: North Georgia continues to lead the league in assists per game (2.33) and total assists (7). Taylor Malasek is third in the Peach Belt in total goals with three. She is second in the league in goals per game, scoring a goal per match. Jazmin Adlam and Olivia Dumphy are second in the PBC in total assists with two each.

PBC Openers: North Georgia has won 10 straight Peach Belt openers. The last loss to open the PBC slate came in 2008 when UNG fell to Columbus State nearly 11 years ago to the day.
