DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Bree Hammond finished second in the 3000 meter steeplechase for the University of North Georgia track & field team as the Nighthawks sit in fourth place after the second day of competition at the Peach Belt Conference Championships.
Hammond ran an 11:33.76 to finish four seconds out of first place in the race, claiming eight points for the team.
Brynn Wilson claimed fourth place while
Kenedi Rodney finished in fifth for a total of 17 points for UNG in the event.
The 4x100 meter relay team finished in fifth place, earning four points.
Mary Owen Howell finished in fifth in the pole vault, earning four points as well.
Competition will conclude tomorrow with finals in 12 events.
