ATLANTA – The University of North Georgia (UNG) women's track and field team competed in a pair of distance events on the final day of the Emory Spring Break Classic.
In the 1,500 meters, Erin O'Brien led the Nighthawks with a fifth-place finish, crossing the line in 5:00.78. Jordan Starling added a top 10 performance, placing ninth with a time of 5:08.01. Harleigh Smith posted a 5:33.60, while Teagan Lamp finished in 5:38.10.
North Georgia also competed in the 800 meters, where Aubrey Dishman paced the group with an eighth-place finish in 2:20.12. Ahna Hicks placed 16th in 2:24.63, followed by Tessie Braman in 18th at 2:25.69 and Natalie Long in 19th with a time of 2:25.86. Smith recorded a time of 2:41.87, and Elizabeth Padilla Brun added a 2:58.31.
The Nighthawks return to action March 27-28 at Emory's Thrill in the Hills meet.
