Week Preview: The No. 4 University of North Georgia baseball team looks to build on a strong start to the season as they hit the road for five games this week, starting with a two-game midweek set against No. 25 West Florida.

Rankings: North Georgia is No. 4 in the latest Collegiate Baseball Poll released Monday. Other teams in the Southeast Region that are ranked are No. 7 Mount Olive, No. 8 North Greenville, No. 15 Catawba, No. 21 USC Aiken and No. 24 Columbus State. Newberry is receiving votes.

Last Week: North Georgia went 3-1 last week, beating Emmanuel, 15-5, to kick off the week before taking two of three from then-No. 12 USC Aiken.
Scouting West Florida: West Florida is tied for No. 25 in the nation after a 14-7 start to the season. The Argos just took two of three from Embry-Riddle last weekend North Georgia is 14-11 against West Florida all-time and has won five straight dating back to the 2015 season. The Nighthawks have had fairly good fortunes in Pensacola, winning seven of 13 matchups in Florida.
Scouting Georgia College: Georgia College is 11-9 on the year and 5-5 in league play. The Bobcats have lost five of their last seven, including getting swept by USC Aiken and losing two of three against Francis Marion. The Nighthawks are 16-24 against Georgia College all-time, falling in eight of the last nine matchups against the Bobcats.
Win No. 700: With the first win over USC Aiken Saturday, Tom Cantrell surpassed his 700th win at North Georgia. The win was also the 700th win for the program since restarting back in 2000.
