DAHLONEGA – A pair of University of North Georgia (UNG) baseball standouts earned regional recognition Monday as
Kyle Robitzsch and
Ben Hamacher were named to the D2CCA All-Southeast Region Second Team following strong performances during the 2026 season.
Robitzsch led the Nighthawks with a .379 batting average while appearing in and starting 53 games during the season. The junior totaled 75 hits and drove in 57 runs while posting a .993 OPS.
Hamacher ranked second on the team with a .373 batting average and started all 58 games for North Georgia in 2026. He collected 91 hits, leading the Peach Belt Conference and finishing among the top 20 nationally, while adding 40 RBI and a .462 on-base percentage.
The duo helped lead the Nighthawks to another postseason appearance and a berth in the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional.
