DAHLONEGA – Two members of the University of North Georgia (UNG) baseball team earned recognition from the American Baseball Coaches Association, as
Kyle Robitzsch and
Ben Hamacher were both selected to the ABCA Southeast All-Region Second Team following standout performances during the 2026 season.
Robitzsch led the Nighthawks with a .379 batting average while appearing in and starting 53 games during the year. The junior recorded 75 hits and drove in 57 runs while finishing the season with a .993 OPS.
Hamacher ranked second on the team with a .373 batting average and started all 58 games for North Georgia in 2026. He totaled 91 hits, leading the Peach Belt Conference and ranking among the top 20 nationally. Hamacher also added 40 RBI and posted a .462 on-base percentage during the season.
The pair helped lead North Georgia to another strong campaign in 2026, as the Nighthawks earned a berth in the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional and continued the program's run as one of the top teams in the Peach Belt Conference.
