Game Preview: The University of North Georgia women's soccer team opens Peach Belt Tournament play with a home Battle of Blood Mountain matchup against Young Harris Tuesday evening.

Rankings: North Georgia held at No. 18 a week ago, the highest ranking of the year for UNG. Flagler is also in the poll, holding at No. 3. New rankings release Tuesday afternoon. The Nighthawks came in at No. 3 in the NCAA Southeast Regional rankings last Wednesday, trailing No. 1 Flagler and No. 2 Lenoir-Rhyne.

Last Week: The Nighthawks wrapped up the regular season with a 3-0 win over Emmanuel a week ago.
 
Young Harris: Young Harris finished regular season play at 6-10, but five of those wins came in Peach Belt play, earning the Mountain Lions the seventh seed. YHC finished the year on a fourmatch losing skid. Aimee Durn leads Young Harris with four goals scored and Pien Van Kampen has played every second between the posts. North Georgia is 8-1 against Young Harris all-time, including winning each of the five matchups in Dahlonega.

October 30: On a rainy night on the other side of Blood Mountain, Olivia Dumphy scored two goals off free kicks to lead No. 18 UNG past Young Harris, 2-0, October 30. Dumphy's first free kick came in the 20th minute when she pushed one past the keeper low and in the left corner to put UNG up, 1-0. Nearly 20 minutes later, another free kick was awarded to UNG at the top corner of the penalty box, and Dumphy curled one home inside the far post.

Statistics: North Georgia ranks first in the league in goals-against-average, save percentage and shutout percentage. UNG is third in the conference in assists per game, points per game, scoring offense, total assists, total goals and total points. • Morgan Ramby leads the Peach Belt in goals-against-average at .506 and in save percentage at .846. Taylor Malasek is tied for first in the league and fifth in the nation in game-winners with six. She is third in the league in goals scored with 13.

Tournament History: North Georgia has played in 13 straight PBC tournaments, making it to the championship game four times.

PBC Tournament Outlook: Other games Tuesday include top-seeded Flagler hosting eighth-seeded Lander, third-seeded UNC Pembroke taking on sixth-seeded Clayton State, and fourth-seeded Columbus State playing host to fifth-seeded Georgia College.
