Game Preview: The University of North Georgia men's soccer team will open up Peach Belt Conference Tournament play with a quarterfinal matchup on the road at Francis Marion Tuesday night.

Francis Marion: Francis Marion is 12-4-1 on the year despite losing two of the last three. The Patriots fell to Clayton State at home to kick off November, 3-2, and then to No. 9 Young Harris, 1-0, at home in the regular season. Javier Bello leads FMU in goals scored with seven while Maximiliano Rocco has played 16 of the 17 matches in between the posts. North Georgia leads the all-time series against the Patriots, 9-7. The Nighthawks have won the last two in Florence, scoring seven goals in the last two matches at FMU.
October 19: A 48th minute goal by Alvaro Zamora was the difference as the University of North Georgia men's soccer team fell to No. 20 Francis Marion, 1-0, on October 19 at the UNG Soccer Complex. After a scoreless first half that saw FMU on the front foot, the Patriots finally broke through after a save from Conner Domaleski, putting the rebound home for the eventual game-winner.
Tournament History: North Georgia is appearing in their ninth straight PBC tournament and 13th overall. UNG has made four semifinals and one championship match in their history
PBC Tournament Outlook: The other quarterfinal will see third-seeded Clayton State host sixth-seeded Flagler in Morrow. Top-seeded Young Harris and second-seeded Lander each receive byes to Evans for the semifinals.
