Game Preview: The University of North Georgia women's soccer team will stay in league play this week, taking on Georgia Southwestern at home Wednesday before starting a three-match road trip at USC Aiken Saturday evening.

Promotions: Wednesday will serve as Spirit Night at the UNG Soccer Complex with Mr. and Miss UNG being named at halftime. Last year, the Nighthawk Nation packed the UNG Soccer Complex on Spirit Night with 1,112 fans in the seats, the nation's most attended match in 2018.

Rankings: North Georgia held at No. 20 in the United Soccer Coaches poll. Flagler is also in the poll, jumping two spots from last week to No. 4.

Last Week: The Nighthawks swept their Peach Belt matches last week, downing Georgia College, 4-0, before defeating UNC Pembroke, 2-1.
 
Georgia Southwestern: Georgia Southwestern is 3-5-1 on the season, but 0-3 in Peach Belt play. The Lady 'Canes have fallen to Albany State, Clayton State and Georgia College by a combined score of 8-1. Eduarda Giusti and Payton Johnson lead the side with three goals apiece, while Alison Rugel leads GSW in points with nine (two goals, five assists). North Georgia is a perfect 15-0 against Georgia Southwestern all-time, defeating the Hurricanes 7-1 a year ago. North Georgia has put up big numbers in the scoring column at home against GSW, averaging over seven goals a match in the series.

USC Aiken: USC Aiken is 1-6 headed into a Wednesday night matchup at No. 4 Flagler. The Pacers are 1-1 in league play, defeating Albany State in a 5-4 shootout Saturday. Willa and Gressa Olson each lead the Pacers with three goals scored and an assist as well. UNG is 13-2-2 against the Pacers all-time, winning 12 straight in the series dating back to the 2008 year. The Nighthawks have not lost to USC Aiken since 2006, with a 0-0 draw in 2007. North Georgia has allowed just four goals to USCA during the current winning streak.

Statistics: North Georgia ranks first in the league in goals-against-average, save percentage and shutout percentage. UNG is second in the PBC in assists per game and total assists while ranking third in points per game and goals per game. Morgan Ramby leads the Peach Belt in goals-against-average at .501 and save percentage at .840. Taylor Malasek leads the league and the nation in game-winners with four. She is third in the league in goals per game and second in total goals.

Scoring Prowess: The Nighthawks have conceded just one goal in league play this season, the fewest in the league. North Georgia has also scored 10 goals, the most in the PBC play.
