Game Preview: The University of North Georgia men's soccer team starts a three-match homestand Thursday against West Alabama before opening Peach Belt Conference play Saturday afternoon at Flagler.

Promotions: Saturday will serve as Soccer Alumni Day. In conjunction with UNG Family Day also on Saturday, any soccer alumni will receive free admission to the doubleheader and will also be recognized during the doubleheader.

Last Week: The Nighthawks snapped a four-match losing skid with a 4-2 win over Southern Wesleyan on Wednesday and nearly earned a result at Montevallo, falling 3-2 Saturday.
 
West Alabama: West Alabama is 3-3 on the year with a win over Flagler and two 3-0 losses to Lander and Clayton State. Most recently, the Tigers defeated Delta State on the road for their first Gulf South victory of the season. First year head coach Ross Nelson has UWA scoring just over a goal a match while giving up just under two goals per match. Adam Zayed leads the Tigers with two goals scored. This will be the first meeting between UNG and West Alabama in program history.

Flagler: The Nighthawks are 2-10-1 against Flagler all-time and are 1-3-1 at the UNG Soccer Complex. The Saints have won five of the last seven, but North Georgia won the last matchup in Dahlonega in a 5-3 shootout.

Statistics: North Georgia ranks first in the Peach Belt and 19th in Division II in saves per game at 6.13. The Nighthawks rank third in the PBC and 37th nationally in shots per game, firing 15.63 shots toward the net per match. Luis Lepervanche is third in the league in saves with 27. He sits in sixth in the conference in save percentage at .692. Conner Domaleski is fourth in save percentage at .786. Jack Newhouse is tied for the league lead in shots taken with 19.
