Game Preview: The University of North Georgia men's soccer team looks to continue its recent success with the final match of a three-game homestand against Francis Marion Saturday afternoon.

Francis Marion: Currently ranked No. 20 in the nation, Francis Marion is 7-2-1 on the year and coming off of a 2-1 overtime win on the road at Chowan Wednesday night. The Patriots started off the season at 5-0-1 before dropping two straight, losing at Lander and against Barton. Three players have scored three goals each for FMU: Javier Bello, Travis Cooke and Alvaro Zamora, while Jafet Santiago has seven points off a goal and five assists. Maximiliano Rocco will likely tend goal for the Patriots, having given up just five goals while making 27 saves in nine caps this season. North Georgia leads the all-time series against Francis Marion, 9-6, including winning last year, 5-2. The Nighthawks are on a three-match winning streak in the series and are 4-2 at the UNG Soccer Complex against FMU.
Statistics: North Georgia ranks first in the Peach Belt and 18th in Division II in saves per game at 6.10. The Nighthawks rank third in the PBC in shots per game and save percentage. Conner Domaleski leads the league in saves per game, averaging 5.5 saves each time between the posts. He ranks fourth in the conference in saves with 33. Donovan Odier ranks in the top five in the Peach Belt in four statistical categories: game-winners (1st, 2); goals per game (4th, 0.50); total goals (3rd, 5); and total points (4th, 11).
Ozer's Favorite Opponent: Eren Ozer has had success against FMU in his career at UNG, scoring three goals and adding two assists in his three showdowns with the Patriots. He scored two goals and assisted on a third in last year's matchup.
Ranked Opponents: Francis Marion marks the first time that UNG will play a ranked team this season. No. 11 Lander comes to Dahlonega next week, while Young Harris, although currently unranked, could move back into the top 25 by the time the two sides meet in November.
