Game Preview: Riding a three-match winning streak, the University of North Georgia men's soccer team looks to close out the homestand against Emmanuel Wednesday night before hitting the road for the Peach Belt opener against Flagler Saturday afternoon.

Last Week: North Georgia pushed its unbeaten streak to four games after sweeping past Southern Wesleyan and Montevallo, both by scores of 2-1. The Nighthawks fired off 30 shots against the Warriors before an overtime winner from Gabriel Garcia against Montevallo kept the winning streak alive.
 
Scouting Emmanuel: The Lions are 2-3-0 headed into Wednesday night's matchup under the lights of the UNG Soccer Complex but have won their last two matches.

Series Versus Emmanuel: North Georgia leads Emmanuel all-time, 5-1, and have won the last five meetings. The Nighthawks are 3-0 at the UNG Soccer Complex against the Lions, winning by a combined score of 13-5.
 
Scouting Flagler: The Saints are 1-3-0 in 2018 prior to a Tuesday night matchup with Nova Southeastern. Flagler has been outscored 13-2 in its first four matches of the season

Series Versus Flagler: Flagler holds the edge all-time over North Georgia, winning nine of the 12 matchups over the nine-year series. The Nighthawks won last year's meeting, however, taking a a 5-3 win in Dahlonega. FC is 6-1 against UNG in St. Augustine.
 
Regional Rankings: North Georgia is currently ranked No. 8 in the United Soccer Coaches Southeast Region Poll, up one spot from last week.

Garcia Named Nighthawk of the Week: Gabriel Garcia tallied one goal and two assists in a pair of wins for the Nighthawks last week, earning him the title of Einstein's Nighthawk of the Week. In Wednesday's win over SWU, he assisted on both of the team's goals. In the overtime win over Montevallo on Saturday, he netted the game-winning golden goal, his first of the season, in the fourth minute of extra time.

PBC Weekly Honors: Gabriel Garcia and Matt Sharman each won PBC weekly honors this week with Garcia taking the Player of the Week honor while Sharman won the Goalkeeper of the Week. Garcia tallied a goal and two assists on the week, while Sharman gave up just two goals and had eight saves in the two matches combined.

PBC Statistical Standings: The Nighthawks lead the Peach Belt Conference in shots per match (19.8) and corner kicks (29). Matt Sharman leads the PBC in saves with 36 and is third in save percentage at .766.
