Box Score DAHLONEGA - In the Peach Belt opener, the University of North Georgia women's tennis team shut out Georgia Southwestern Friday afternoon, 9-0, and gave up just 13 games across the nine total matches. The Nighthawks improve to 5-1 overall.
After flying through doubles with two shutout wins at No. 1 and No. 3, the singles matches flew by just as quickly.
Holly Bennett got things started with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles, followed closely behind by
Adrienne Bofinger's 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 2 to seal the win.
The Nighthawks completed the shutout by getting wins from the final four singles matches, the closest being a 6-2, 6-4 win by
Lexa Loden at No. 4 singles.
North Georgia will travel to Augusta on Sunday for the first road PBC match. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
