DAHLONEGA | Head coach Chris Adams and his 2014 University of North Georgia women's soccer team will open the season on the newly renovated UNG Soccer Complex this afternoon against Valdosta State with kickoff slated for 4:00 p.m. 

The Nighthawks are on the heels of a 12-5-1 campaign in 2013 and look to return to the NCAA Tournament after being left out for the first time in the past three seasons.

"As a team we are hungry to return to the NCAA Tournament," stated Adams. " We are deeper than we have ever been and that will allow us to hopefully play further into the season."
 
The season-opener will be the first meeting between the two schools.
