Rachel VanHorn found the back of the net twice including the eventual game-winner just three minutes into the contest to lead the Nighthawk offensive charge.
North Georgia moves to 4-0 on the season while the host Panthers fall to 1-2. The Nighthawks will complete play in the classic-style event on Sunday (Sept. 14) at 11:00 against Barry at FIT's Rick Stottler Field.
UNG was able to secure a pair of insurance goals when
Cicely Taliaferro converted a penalty kick in the game's 38
th minute before VanHorn scored again just four minutes later.
