CLEVELAND, Tenn. – The University of North Georgia (UNG) women's golf team closed out its season Tuesday with a 12th-place finish out of 18 teams at the NCAA Division II South Regional at Cleveland Country Club.

The Nighthawks posted a three-round total of 937, improving their score in the final round to cap the tournament. Wingate claimed the team title with an overall score of 894, while Lander's Kajsa Lindqvist earned individual medalist honors.

North Georgia turned in a 319 (+31) in the second round, led by Ellie Jane Riner's 78 (+6) and Cora Mount's 79 (+7). Abby Franks and Claire Bradford each carded rounds of 81 (+9), while Mackenzie Connell rounded out the scoring with an 82 (+10).

The Nighthawks closed strong in the final round, shooting a 308 (+20). Bradford paced the lineup with a 73 (+1), highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 14th hole. Connell followed with a 77 (+5), while Franks added a 78 (+6). Riner carded an 80 (+8), and Mount finished with an 81 (+9).

The event was originally scheduled to be three single rounds played each day, but the threat of rain on the final day necessitated the tournament to be altered to 18 holes Monday and 36 holes today.

No. 11 Tampa (+38), No. 10 Barry (+45) and No. 3 Anderson (+45) joined Wingate as the four advancing teams.

Tuesday's final round marked North Georgia's lowest team score of the 54-hole tournament as the Nighthawks capped their postseason appearance at the regional.
