ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The No. 11 University of North Georgia (UNG) women's golf team sits tied for first with Flagler after the opening round of the Peach Belt Conference Championship on Sunday, carding a 13-over 301.
Mackenzie Connell led the way for the Nighthawks and the entire field with a 1-over 73, holding the individual lead after 18 holes.
Ellie Jane Riner followed closely with a 2-over 74 and is tied for second, while Claire Bradford posted a 3-over 75 to sit tied for fifth.
Camryn Wright added a 75, and Cora Mount rounded out the UNG lineup with an 82.
The second round of the tournament is scheduled to begin Monday at 8:30 a.m.
