GREENWOOD, S.C. - The No. 18 University of North Georgia (UNG) men's soccer team suffered a 5-1 Peach Belt Conference setback against Lander on Wednesday night at Van Taylor Stadium.

Lander struck first just before halftime as Carson Graves converted a 43rd-minute goal off an assist from Ryosuke Tanaka. The Bearcats (7-2-6, 6-2-3 PBC) carried the momentum into the second half, scoring three times in a 15-minute span. Giacomo Sartori doubled the lead in the 54th minute, and Callum Stokes added goals in the 65th and 69th minutes to make it 4-0.

North Georgia broke through in the 81st minute when
Haris Osmanbasic tallied his third goal of the season to get the Nighthawks on the board.
Stokes completed his hat trick for Lander in the 88th minute to seal the final margin.

Goalkeeper
Aleksa Lukic recorded five saves for North Georgia (9-4-4, 8-2-1 PBC), while the Nighthawks managed eight total shots and four on frame.
Aram Lara led the team with two shots on goal.
Lander held a 19-8 advantage in shots and each team recorded six corner kicks.

North Georgia finishes the Peach Belt Conference regular season with a pivotal road trip to No. 24 Flagler on Saturday, Nov. 1. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
