YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – In its Battle of Blood Mountain doubleheader, the No. 1 University of North Georgia softball team defeated Young Harris 7-1 and 4-2 to take the road Peach Belt Conference series over the Mountain Lions.

The YHC pitching couldn't corral the Blairs in the game as
Sydney Blair and
Georgia Blair led the team in hits with three as
Georgia Blair recorded three RBIs in the game.
Kristen Davis (W, 10-1) was dominant inside the circle, throwing all seven innings and allowing just one run on three hits while striking out six.
Madi Perry joined the multi-hit club in the game finishing with two hits and earning two singles.

Gracie Mixson and
Hannah Forehand all added RBIs to the cause driving in one run each, with Wright and Mixson adding to the four-run sixth-inning rally for the Nighthawks.
North Georgia 4, Young Harris 2
Sydney Blair kept the momentum rolling, finishing as the lone Nighthawk with multiple hits in the game, earning two hits in three trips to the plate.
Tybee Denton (W, 11-0) rolled to a complete game win, allowing two runs on three hits and striking out six in the game.
Jolie Lester,
Gracie Mixson and Forehand added one RBI to their totals on the day, driving in runs to help extend the Nighthawks' winning streak to 35 games.
